Ready, Set, PAUSE!

Do you love assigning BrainPop videos to help you introduce or reinforce a topic you are teaching? Do you wish there was a way to stop the video to give your students time to think and express what they have learned?  Well if so, you are in luck!  Earlier this year, BrainPop launched a new feature called Pause Points and we are absolutely loving it.  If you haven’t tried Pause Points yet, here are 5 reasons why you should:

Prompts students to activate background knowledge while watching a BrainPop video

Aligned to grade level standards, concepts, and skills

User friendly! The questions are already added to videos you just have to preview and assign!

Speak, draw, or type responses to open ended questions

Engages students as they watch videos with multiple choice or open ended questions and reflection points

If you are an avid BrainPop user (or even if you aren’t) you need to give BrainPop Pause Points a try.  So far they have loaded Pause Points to over 50 popular videos but they have plans to add more in the near future.  To use Pause Points, simply toggle Pause Points on, select the Pause Points Set that corresponds to your grade level, and assign to your students.
