Welcome back and Happy New Year! As we settle into January, it is the perfect time to look at our daily habits and ask: Is there a way to do this efficiently?
We know that time is one of your most valuable resources. That is why, for the month of January, the Technology Department is issuing a simple, low-stakes challenge to all HTPS staff. We aren't asking for a massive project or a complete overhaul of your curriculum.
The Challenge: Install the SchoolAI Chrome Extension and use it to streamline just one part of your daily or weekly workflow.
Why the SchoolAI Extension?
You may already be familiar with SchoolAI, but the Chrome Extension (often called "Sidekick") takes the experience to a new level. Instead of having to open a new tab and log in every time you need assistance, the extension lives right in your browser sidebar.
It allows you to bring the power of an AI assistant directly to where you are already working—whether that is needing to create a space based on a site your on, generating feedback in a Google Doc, or a crafting a resource from a website you are vetting for class.
How to Participate
Participation is easy and self-paced. Simply follow these steps:
Install the Extension: Head to the Chrome Web Store and add the extension to your browser.
Pick Your Workflow: Choose one task you do repeatedly. It could be drafting feedback, differentiating a reading passage, generating a rubric, or creating a space.
Use the Sidekick: Open the extension and let it assist you with that task.
Enjoy the Time Saved: Take a breath and enjoy the few extra minutes you just bought back for yourself!
