October 16th - 20th is Digital Citizenship week and we’ve got you covered. Whether you work with elementary students, high schoolers or somewhere in between, we can all support our students as they learn to monitor screen time usage, practice internet safety and privacy, evaluate digital materials and media, and prevent cyberbullying. Sound like a lot? Not with the help of Common Sense Media.
If you’re not familiar with Common Sense Media, many see it as the gold standard for supporting educators and parents as we guide today’s children through the digital world. For Digital Citizenship week, they have compiled a great resource for teachers that includes activities, videos and more. Click here to start exploring their customized resources.
The Technology Department is here to support any Digital Citizenship initiatives in your classrooms. You might even have one of us already scheduled to come in for a Digital Citizenship lesson using more awesome resources. As always, feel free to book a tech coach to discuss how we can support your involvement in Digital Citizenship Week!
