Happy New School Year! As we wrap up our third week, we hope that you and your students are off to a smooth start. With the deployment of the new staff Chromebooks this year, many of our blog posts will reference tips and tricks for Chromebooks. Now that staff and students both have Chromebooks, you may find some of our tips useful for your students too!
This tip is a way to quickly switch between mirroring and extending your screens. Right now, classroom teachers have the option to make all three screens the same (mirror) or all three different (extend). Using Ctrl and the Full Screen button, you can toggle back and forth between these two settings, allowing for seamless transition between both options.
We are anxiously awaiting Google’s new feature which will allow you to customize your display settings even more. With the upgrade you will be able to mirror any combination of screens, i.e. mirror your projector and laptop screen while using your external monitor as an extended screen. Some lucky people in our tech department have already tested this out and can’t wait for it to be rolled out fully! We are anticipating mid October.
As a reminder, your Tech Coaches are here for you - we are getting a LOT of steps in, but are happy to help however we can!
