Target Instruction: The Power of Groups in Google Classroom

Greetings, educators! We're excited to share that Google Classroom has rolled out a handy new feature called 'Assign to Groups', making it easier than ever to tailor your instruction for every student.

How it Works:
  1. Create Your Groups: Within your Google Classroom, set up student groups that align with your learning objectives. Think reading levels, math skills, project interests... the possibilities are endless!
  2. Assign with Purpose: When creating or editing an assignment, you'll see the 'Assign to Groups' option. Select the group(s) that require that specific task or resource.
  3. Multiple Groups? No Problem! A student can belong to multiple groups. Assign an assignment to as many groups as you need, ensuring every learner receives the work they need.
  4. Student View: Students will only see assignments assigned to their specific groups, keeping their workspace organized and focused.

Benefits for Teachers:
  • Personalized Learning: Provide tailored assignments for different learning needs or levels.
  • Targeted Support: Offer additional practice to students who need it or challenge advanced learners.
  • Flexible Grouping: Easily create and manage groups based on student needs and progress.
